I like fantasy (J.R.R. Tolkien, Glen Cook, Eddings, George R R Martin), but I can't say any have really impressed me except perhaps Martin... I've also read a number of techno-thrillers - Tom Clancy, Larry Bond, etc.

I tend to pick non-fiction texts (mostly historical) these days. I think I have some vain hope I might pick up lots of knowledge by reading them, but to be honest, I forget most of what I read... :|

I like reading and should plough through far more books than I currently manage, but I just seem to lack the motivation or concentration...dunno why.

Socially I'm shy, especially with strangers, but can open up and be quite chatty once I get to know someone.

My anxiety really comes into play when I have to go out and do things on my own. I tend to spend my life sitting on my own in my bedroom, or going to work, following the usual routine that I've become comfy with.

I'd like to get out and do more, but that's pretty difficult when you don't have any friends living nearby.

I'm looking to chat with people of a similar age and personality to myself.
