Musicians Anonymous , Members In Need , Taylor Swift fans!

Hi! I'm Briana:) I apologize in advance- my about-me is long! [You can skip to the end part if you just wanna know why I'm anxious]. I'm 18 years old. I love love (total self-proclaimed hopeless romantic). You know, Nicholas sparks books, the movie 'Titanic', etc. Yes, I am short, and yes, I do love it! I also love getting dressed up- I'd live in high heels, jewelry, and an evening gown if I could. I love to laugh and get along really well with people who have a sense of humor. I love Taylor Swift. Not only is she my favorite musical artist, but I credit her with inspiring me to pick up a guitar after hugging me and musically blowing my mind at my first ever concert. I also love Vanessa Carlton for writing "A Thousand Miles" because that song made me want to play the piano. I hope I get to meet and thank both of them someday. My dream is to do exactly what they do -- make my own records and tour. Music was always "my thing" and I've been playing the piano for the past 10 years, taught myself acoustic guitar, played cello for 4 years in the past, and I am starting to get into re-learning the violin (took lessons for a year in the past). I also want to learn how to play the banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and dobro! I really don't know what I'd want to do with my life if a record deal doesn't fall into my lap, but I do enjoy science and math and the weather. Avalon, NJ is still my favorite vacation spot. I'm an extremely picky eater and pretty much edit anything I order (ask anyone at Panera). Personally I don't think there's any chocolate like the kind they put in Advent calendars. I sometimes prefer to make my smilies like this (: instead of like this :) just because it's different. I'm creative and always have a mini project going on like crystallizing my high heel shoes or selling things on eBay or working on recording my never-ending list of covers. I'm an anxious person. I had separation anxiety as a little girl, developed emetophobia [fear of throwing up] at age 7 that was put under control a few years ago with cognitive behavioral therapy [but has since gotten a LOT worse], and when I was 9, my separation anxiety got refueled, reached its peak, and 6 months of therapy later I was ok. Until a few years ago. I pretty much have reached the point where I worry about a few things allllllll the time. Which is why I'm here. Starting when I was 13, I had stomach pain, nausea and fatigue daily that lasted for 3 years.During this time I was on Prozac to help the stomach pain [go figure]. I went to every doctor and went through every test known to man till they figured out my gallbladder wasn't functioning [no gallstones, it just didn't work] so I had surgery to remove it. My surgeon elected to remove my appendix at the same time just in case, and thank goodness he did, because turns out I had chronic appendicitis on top of it! My anxiety really kicked in during all that [without my knowledge], so I got off the Prozac and tried returning to high school, only to find out that I mentally couldn't handle it. I was looking forward to many things happening that year [my senior year of high school] such as graduating with my friends and going to the prom and such, so it's been really hard for me to accept this. Now it's a full year later and I had to delay college a year too. I'm doing well on the Prozac (slowly but surely) and going to therapy so hopefully I'm on the right track. So here I am. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this, and I'm definitely up for talking to anyone here if you feel like it!

Laughing, being sarcastic but not in a mean way, music, playing music, listening to music [I like music-- can you tell? (;], driving, Facebook, texting, concerts, the beach, chillin, being Italian, being short [fun sized!], my crush, the friends who were and always will be there for me [not many, but i love the ones that are]
