My real fear is not my trip, but the fact that I have a cracked wisdom tooth that is scheduled to come out. I am horrified about this. I have not pain, it is not infected, and I can eat and drink without sensitivity. But a dentist told me I was playing with fire and that I am gambling by not having it done so that is instilled in my head. I ran to my regular dentist yesterday and he said I was fine, go and take Motrin if pain persists... but I am still scared!!

Dentists can be so dramatic!!! I have this one wisdom tooth that has bothered me on and off for like 3 years..even was infected twice and took antibitoic for it. I have to get it out eventually just have been too busy and do not feel like having chipmunk cheeks for a few days after it is out. No worries... some dentists are like drama queens!! ha!ha!

I just had dental work done at a new dentists office. I told them i had an anxiety disorder so when they put my chart up on the huge computer moniter it says ANXIETY next to my name. Theyve treated me wioth kid gloves. Even the cleaning thev hygenist put novacaine on a swab on my gums so i wouldnt feel anythiung. Nothing beats a good dentist if you are honest with them. I wish you and your tooth well.

I had to get all four of my wisdom teeth out. I was terrified but they were coming in sideways so they would have messed up my whole mouth. I was scared but it's easy! Tell the doctor you're afraid and you want some kind of anesthesia. They can give you an iv of valium or whatever to relax you and then put you to sleep while they take it out. Before you know it it's done. I hope you get it taken care of! <3
