Good luck with that med. If your doctor prescribes it, let me know if you have any questions. You should feel a physical response fairly quickly, but it will take your brain a while to accept the fact that it will work. If you have trouble doing things with your hands in front of people, you should see a difference in a few hours. I could not sign my name in front of people, which made checking in at hotels or paying with a credit card difficult and embarrassing. Within a week, I did not have a problem at all.
If you have any kind of shaking like this, tell your doctor you have a tremor if he has problems understanding anxiety or you don’t want to bring it up. Family docs are not all willing to prescribe something for mental conditions. Most family docs I have seen will prescribe for anxiety. For the ones who won’t, I tell them I have a tremor and they don’t have a problem prescribing for that. Sing a few bars of “whole lot of shakin goin on” and they should get the picture.
