Hey im a new comer! Ive been dealing with anxiety since I was 11 so I know a lot about myself, but what I need to feel is that im not alone..ahh help

Welcome to the Tribe!! When I first started having problems with anxiety I thought that I was so alone. Then I started talking to others on here and also people that I know around me and was amazed at what they had to tell me. Don't be afraid to talk about it. Letting it out is one of the best feeling in the world, in my opinion :-)

You arent alone
and youd be amazed by how many other people feel just the way you do
I remember when someone first put a definition to the way I was feeling
Dr" You've had an anxiety attack"
Me " Is that why I feel like I am having a heart attack?"
I laugh at it now but trust me, every day, I try to make it a step towards getting better
Here's what I do know
medicine - whether prescribed or natural - can help
exercise helps even more. As soon as you start to feel it bubbling, Im sure you know what that is :) go for a long walk, start moving around etc. The more you force yourself to sit still the worse I find mine gets
Try yoga! My Doctor told me and it actually helped! It teaches you how to control your breathing and focus your attention to something other then negative thoughts
what really helped me was telling al of my friends. Real friends will understand and be there for you. But if you start avoiding see them or situations because of your anxiety like I did it wil only push them farther away.
Its really weird to say it ou loud, i.e. I have problems with anxiety
For me I said I have anxiety problems and have had several major attacks. Once I said it out loud it almost made me feel better. Yes, this is what I deal with but its not what defines me
