i just took my first pill of celexa and already i feel werid and tried. I dont like this feeling at all, and i have been that takes 3 to 6 weeks for the medication to kick in, but im not sure if every night is going to be like this if should i take it. I feel like my head weighs a ton and my stomach hurts. Has anyone taken this medication? Is it worth taking?

Dec 29 2012, 9:33 pm I know it's almost impossible to tell, but do you ever get those feelings from anxiety? I hate trying to figure out if I'm having an allergic reaction or just an anxiety attack.

Dec 29 2012, 8:00 pm For most people the medications do take time to "kick in". As someone already pointed out the side effects come first. I've never taken Celexa but I've been on enough others to know the experience. Give it some time. If it is a pill you can cut it in half and work your way up.

Dec 29 2012, 10:41 am I am on the same med i take 40 mg a day and yes it makes you feel wierd for awhile but it will subside but if it doesnt you need to talk to your dr about it and may need to try something else,,if you only took it one time your bidy has to get used to it because after all it is working on your brain and trying to redo what is missing chemical wise.
