Crying relieves Anxiety?

Since going through this extreme anxiety these last few months, I have found that when I have the "take flight" feeling, where ever I am, I get frustrated trying to stay there and then I cry, just a bit and I get relief from the anxiety. This is something that I have not done or felt like doing before when I have had anxiety issues. Does anyone else have this experience?

Thank you for the responses... I guess it seems to be a common response to cry then. My issue is that I cry at least a little, every day... and that has never been the way I dealt with things until a few months ago. So hard to understand the anxiety and how it effects us.

2 weeks ago i was having some issues and started to cry and it was like a huge weight had been lifted. I wasnt so edgy and clenched up. I was never a big crier for some reason and now it seems like I am crying more then usual. The first day on this site I actually cried over a post I had read snd before I would have never done that.
