Losing sleep due to Anxiety

The last few night i have not been able to sleep.. i wake with a tummy ache.. heart racing... mind running same dream .. over and over.  I try to think of something that might be causing it.. but i cant come up with anything. Life is going good.. and most of my OCD and depression issues have been close to nothing.


So why now.. why am i waking in a cold sweat.. Fight or Flight feeling? I end up getting sick... laying infront of heater.. trying to calm my nerves? Nausia is the worse doring all this.


Anybody else have this issue, and what has worked for you to make it stop.. I really need my sleep.. and cant handle much more of this.

TY so much for your Kind words. Im on Wellbutrin XL .. and I have been for a few years now. So even though this happens from time to time... it hasnt been an ongoing everynight issue.


As im writing this it is 4:30 and again I was woken up. I think possibly stress over the holidays.. and $ trying to figure out what and how I am going to buy for 15 kids.. not including my own.


Even though I have the $ planned ahead for this... just the thought of what I have to do..and the time line i have to get it done in is effecting me in some way.


I LOVE x-mas .. my Fav. Holiday... but Heck.. can someone tell my Anxiety that so it will quit freaking out on me so I can enjoy it.. LOL

 Anxiety is often expressed in dreams.


If there is nothing else you can pinpoint it to, is it possible that the sleep disturbance is a side effffect of your medication. Read the labels or talk to the doctor about it. Or see what info you can find on the web about side effects.

hi i had the same feelings as you for about 3 months it wears of in time try not to look at going to bed and expecting these symptoms to happen i fell into that trap i still do some times when you go to sleep try to put your mind at thinking what tomorrow brings its hard but try this is only a slight set back so dont dwell on it take care good luck
