It may just be me, but it seems like music now has become more materialistic and less artistic. More about sex, money and partying and less about the human condition. I like music that can make me think and walk away feeling stronger. Stuff like rock and hip hop I use to could defend on an intellectual level. Now its hard defending some of these songs lol Its hard to defend "I got ho's in different area codes!" or "Move bitch, get out the way!" Try defending that on an intellectual level lol "Well clearly theres a bitch in his way, and she needs to move. Thus the term, move bitch get out the way."

 Growing up I listened to hip hop and pop but I got nothing from it. Even some rock music is nothing but a bunch of emo, screamo, eye liner wearing momma boys moaning on for 4-5 minutes about how their underaged girlfriend left them. Meanwhile hip hop is just one big disappoointment after another. It seems hip hop is nothing more than one big talent show. One rapper trying to out do the other. Although I tend to listen to several kinds of music, this guy on the link below is probably my favorite figure in the music industry. His name is David Draiman, lead singer of the Chicago band disturbed. He can sum up my thoughts on music better than I can.

Had two pretty bad cases of social phobia the other day. Coupled with all the stress of work and school, its been a pretty crappy two days. And to make matters worse, for the first time in a while I just totally wanted to give up and just accept maybe this is how things are supposed to go. Anyways, I'm not in a good place right now so, we'll see what happens.
