Why didn't the doctor tell me anything about this? He told me nothing not even the side effects that would occur that werent severe when starting them. I didn't even get a booklet with them. Ahhhhhh. I'm so paranoid. I wish I could feel calm. I constantly feel like I'm on edge all the time.

I know I can't seem to help it. I'm trying to avoid it but I am really paranoid.

I'm worried if I take small naps during the day I'll be even worse at night. Yeah I know I really have to try not to.

are you able to take small naps during the day? that seems to help me. I know you are probably busy in school but sometimes it just helps to lay down and try to take a break and nap evene if it is only for an hour.

and stop looking up that online stuff! I literally had to force myself everyday not to look up that online. If I had the urge to to that I would go to my favorite online store and look up clothes or shoes or purses! I love shopping so that took my mind off of it :)

Yeah I know I don't seem to be able to help it. I'm going to try to stop thinking about it though. I hope I can. I wish I wasn's so tired though I think I'd handle things a bit better.

also, people tend to think they can just stop medicine on their own and that is not the proper way to do it. Just like we need a doc to give us the meds, we need them to tell us how to get off of them.

The only medicine that gave me withdral effects was Paxil. that was a horrible medicine! Lexapro was wonderful and getting off of it was the easiest thing ever.

when the time comes that you want to stop taking lexapro, contact your doctor and he will instruct you how to SLOWLY stop it. It was so long ago for me but I think I had to cut my 10mg tablet in 1/2 and take that for 2 weeks, then take 1/2 every other day for to weeks and then stopped. It took 1 complete month. It was a very slow process and was well worth it. Just like our bodies have to get use to the meds to work, it needs to get use to being off of them too.

This is not true for everyone. trust me! I had to force myself to stop reading those online things I feel alot of times people go on there and make stuff up. tapering off meds when you are ready is easy if you listen to your doc's instructions. I tapered off lexapro for a whole month and it was a piece of cake. I NEVER had anything like that person on that website states. I think we tend to scare ourselves when we look stuff up online. when we are anxious we can convince ourselves of anything.
