Hi there,
My name is Chris, I am 19 yrs old and I come from a town in England called Luton.
I have had social phobia and ocd since my first memories in nursery.
Life has been a real struggle at times and with the town life all around you with your friends going to clubs, youth groups etc, it is hard not to feel very detached at times.
I have a few good friends who I see 'here and there'.
I had a hard time at school as I was bullied quite badly because I was an easy target I guess so I just didn't go often.
There is quite complicated science behind why I didn't react to confrontation but I won't explain that here.
I feel for anyone with SP/social anxiety or any other anxiety disorder and the horrible stuff you have been/are going through, but people do understand and do listen, if you put your trust in them.
I have been through several college years all of foundation level which have benefited me slightly.
So with my limited qualifications I am currently working part time at a garden center where there are generally nice people which is good.
I do stay indoors a lot because often in social situations I can't relax...social contact feels very unnatural to me, although I want to reach out to them.
I like many other social anxiety sufferers have been on and off medication for years which I now believe has done possibly more harm than good, and so if anyone wants to ask me anything about anti-depressant medication for relief of depressive/anxious symptoms, Please don't hesitate to ask, I'm a nice guy.
Also for years I've done so much reading on neurotransmitters, how they work, how drugs effect them, and the relationship between people and drugs, and even quite a bit of experimenting with both illegal (not much, or any more) and legal (drugs, herbs, supplements etc).
I'm convinced dopamine is what I need, and most other SP people need big time.
Because of cocaine and stimulants; dopamine got a bad rep which is too bad because dopamine is the answer to many peoples problems here.
I'm gonna purchase selepryl when I have money.
Apart from some rambles lol, I am a nice understanding guy and I am very into music and I have been playing the guitar for over 4 years now, I love movies, I also play squash and I like to learn and discover new things so I hope I can make some friends here and talk about anything!
Your Social Anxiety Level: 60%

You have moderate social anxiety.
It's possible that you have a serious social anxiety problem.
But it's also likely that you can help yourself, by getting out more and trying new, scary activities.
No one's secretly judging you. So be yourself, and if you screw up, just laugh.
