I have suffered with anxiety for quite a long time, but developed agoraphobia, panic disorder and derealisation in the last 6 years. I am determined to get through this and am taking steps towards my recovery. I want to remain determined to not let these conditions to interfere with my life :)
Since writing the above, I managed to get out of my hometown and have visited places in the UK - London, Hull, Leeds and various places in the south-west of England where I live. I have also been to America 3 times. The only problem for me is that I have relied upon having alcohol to get me out and about, so am still enduring agoraphobia, but have done so many more things from when I was pretty much housebound for six years. I have moved towns and live in Shaftesbury now. I am trying not to have a drink when I go out and I do keep this to a minimum because I don't want to end up an alcoholic, so I am careful about how I go about things.
