-my name is alyssa.

-i have bi-polar disorder and social anxiety disorder, although the both disorders are greatly improved as of now.

-i am a FORMER self-injurer, and have not for more than a 2 years now.

-i have beaten an addiction to cocaine and alcohol as well.

-i have successfully held down a job for 1 year(a record for me!).

-i have a son, julian...born on march 21st, 2008.


-i work at the forked river,nj associated humane society, and popcorn park zoo. http://www.ahscares.org

-i answer phones, aid customers, do paperwork for incoming and outgoing animals, and take care of 8 exotic birds as well as 2 parakeets, 2 cockateils, and 8 finches twice a week.

-so far i am doing a fairly good job of pretending to be a people-person.

-i don't exactly know who i am or what to do with myself. yet.

-i love animals.

-i have two cats, syd vicious-black domestic short hair-3 yrs old, and marla-calico/tortie domestic long hair-8 mths old.

-i may or may not be a crazy cat person.

-i enjoy reading favorite books over and over and over again.

-i sometimes just tell people what they want to hear.

-i am paranoid.

-i will do anything for a stranger.

-i like alot of strange things that might offend or shock most people.

-i enjoy listening.

-i can usually make friends easily, but i can never keep them.

-i watch far too much television.

-i am not religious, and i do not support any organized religion of any kind, as i have found in my life that religion can breed hatred and close-mindedness (wars over religion, anyone?). i do find theology interesting, though farce. i prefer to support darwinism.

-i don't have anything against people who are religious, in case you were wondering.

-i get obsessed with things easily, but only for a short time.

-i enjoy being alone.

-i like to look at and create art.

-for some reason i am very drawn to, interested in, and personally invested in equal rights.

-i love to explore different minds than my own.
