The Departed, Babel, Little Miss Sunshine, Boys Don’t Cry, Irreversible, This is England, The Shining, Memento, City of God, Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, Oldboy, Kill Bill, Gladiator, Sunshine, The Descent, Napoleon Dynamite, The Goonies, Vanilla Sky.

TV: When the old Freeview isn't playing up......Pioneering BBC comedies: Nighty Night, The Mighty Boosh, The Smoking Room, The Office, Extras, Alan Partridge.

American stuff: THE WIRE (best TV show ever made), Curb Your Enthusiasm, L O S T & HEROES.

BBC2 and Channel 4 documentaries. The hits just keep on coming.

ITV1 is a joke. The only salvage from that wreckage is Harry Hill's TV Burp.

All kinds of everything; eclectic taste.

Crime Fiction: Fave authors are Michael Connelly and Johnathan Kellerman. Also, you just can't beat a cracking John Grisham; the master of the holiday paperback.

The Wire™ , Poetry: Great & Small

I grew up in Brighton, but have now lived in London for a good few years. I work in The City on the fund admin team for a large investment management company. And please; don't tar me with that "CityBoy" brush. Like most office workers, I live for the weekend. I love staying in and going out in equal measure though; you can't beat watching the football results coming through on a Saturday afternoon, or watching a DVD whilst gorging on a dirty East London takeaway. A lot of my friends misinterpret my introverted nature, unable to fully appreciate my occasional need to chill out for the weekend, eat bad food, watch even worse TV, and spend too much time online.

If you peel away enough layers of the onion, you will see a catalogue of contradictions. Outgoing, yet introverted and anxious. Laid back, yet feverishly introspective. A needlessly complicated blank canvas. f@ck it, I digress. What you see isn't what you get.......

Films, Music, Chelsea FC, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Championship Manager, Alcohol induced philosophical chat, Chocolate chip cookies, Watching DVD's, A Takeaway & Match of The Day.

I absolutely love watching films and am often enough of a geek to check out the film trivia on imdb.com soon after watching the film. I live for a good script/dialogue, screenplay, and a good director.

Clothes Shopping, raisins, reality TV wannabes, lame film sequels, Chickflicks.

Having to lead a double life by hiding my anxiety from others. (A bit like living the double life of a superhero, although substantially less cool. And substantially more angst ridden).

Avoiding situations due to feeling anxious. Anxiety’s a bitch: dwelling on the past and worrying about the future. Trying to live in the present is the most important thing.

Having a raging hangover and feeling overly regretful about it.

Hanging out with friends, exercising my dry sense of humour, casually repeating movie quotes during conversations. Also, you can't beat imdb.com, or wikipedia.com. I can spend hours on these two sites!

Heyyy

Long time no 'leave a message in your comments'

Hope you're doing well. My husband has agreed to get me a scooter in an effort to get me out of the house. Now I'll have no excuse for not going to the cinema! Have you seen anything worthwhile at the flicks recently?

Take care
G
