Have suffered from anxiety since I was a teenager and have recently come out the other side of a severe depression.

Strongly believe that loneliness feeds depression and the thing we want to do the least (go out) is the exact thing we should be doing.

Sport has been scientifically proven to fight against depression and it worked for me. Still wary but feel good generally.

Half English, half German, living in Switzerland, married to a wonderful Italian. Parents live in France, sister lives in Sweden. We are true Europeans!

Beautiful scenery, the lake near where we live, thoughtful people, shoes, chocolate brownies, birdsong, orchestras warming up before a performance,going downhill on my kickboard and making people laugh.

Words and pictures.

I'm always impressed by authors who can conjure up images in my head with words.

I love watching films (preferably on a large screen).

Love good photography by Cindy Sherman, Ansell Adams, William Eggleston and British photojournalists of the early 60's. Am a frustrated photographer - either because of missed photographic opportunities or crap results.

Van Gogh has brought me to tears, Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus' is awe-inspiring & Edward Hopper's use of light and colour is something I relate to.
