I live in the UK, and work as a manager in Social Care / Residential Housing. Thats the cause of most of my anxiety! I have got a fantastic family, and loads of nieces and nephews. Still looking for Mr. Right to walk into my life - but know that I need to make a few lifestyle changes until I even spot him enter the room! I like golf and badminton - new years resolution to do more sport! Love cooking dinner parties for friends, and slobbing out in front of the telly (reality tv hooks me everytime!!).
I have been suffering from anxiety on and off for probably 12 years - I had a spate of panic attacks in 1997 when it was first diagnosed. It seems to subside if I can make the changes I need to make (no alcohol, caffeine, plenty of sleep, good food - and then getting rid of the source of the stress). I don't tell that many people I suffer from anxiety - people I do tell are generally amazed as I come across as a very laidback, relaxed person who never flaps in a crisis!! (bit like the duck's legs flapping madly under the water, but gliding along on top!!) This anxiety episode has been around for about 3 months - although I have been ignoring the warning signs that have been around for about 9 months.
