Hi Barbara, sorry I havent written in a few days, but I have been on the road to changing my medication again. The Doctor just put me on Celexa, have you ever taken it before? I have been taking it for only a couple of days now, but seem to be doing fine. I was taking Lexapro, but it was causing me to have more anxiety. I guess the celexa is the same as Lexapro, but has a different thing in it to help elevate your mood. I guees we shall see how it works.

I hope everything is going good for you. The last time you wrote you mentioned your father and I'm sorry to here he is gone. I think 9/11 affected everyone in emergency services no matter where you were. It was a hard thing to experience.

Well today is the superbowl and I will be glued to the tv this afternoon. I love watching football and sad to see it end for the season, but Nascar is right around the corner and that keeps me busy on Sunday's. I hope you have a wonderful day and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Barbara, thanks for getting back to me. I really don't have a safe person so to speak that can do things with me. We live in a rural area and there is nothing around us like shopping or stores you have to drive into town, so I don't get much interaction with folks because I'm unable to drive myself into town. I have come close a couple of times of making it, but had to turn around and go back home. I wished we lived closer to things, that way I could expose myself to everyday stuff, like traffic, people and shopping. I can't ride in a car either when someone else is driving or have anyone else with me in the car, I don't know why but it makes the anxiety really bad.

I have had a really bad weekend, the worse in over a year. I started having some panic attacks yesterday and then last night was the worst. I made it through them with the help of xanax and of course things that I have learned, but it has been really tuff.

My wife in her way tries to support me, but she really doesn't. She get a little gruff when it comes to what is happening to me. I was a police officer for many years and had to leave my job because of the panic attacks. I really miss the job and working....my freedom. I wonder sometimes if my life is going to be this way forever or will I really recover and enjoy my life and people again. I myself have lost a lot of friends because of my condition. It's been very hard on me. I spend most of my days inside doing really nothing, except the house work and the yard work.

I guess I have been going on long enough, I hope you had a good weekend.

Hi Barbara, Thank you so much for the Birthday wishes, that was very kind of you. I understand about being isolated due to agoraphobia, I have been dealing with it for the past couple of years. However I have been trying to drive again, but only going a couple miles from the home at a time. I'm not feeling as anxious or scared as i was before, but I wish i could go further. I know one day I will overcome this and be back on my feet, but staying at home all day is very lonely and not being able to go places is very hard.

How do you cope with it? Maybe you know something more than I do or maybe we can help each other out.

Take care and big hugs to you....Eric
